Nesting means arranging multiple DTF designs on the printable sheet so the available space is used efficiently. Choose Grid or Super Compact depending on how tightly you want the artwork arranged.

In the app we say gang, combine, and club for the same job.
Grid keeps copies in upright rows. It is simpler and lighter on a slow laptop. Leftover pockets can remain on the sheet.
Super Compact tries a tighter arrangement and can rotate copies. Use it when you want more copies in the same panel. Stay on Grid if the machine is slow.
Upright 124 copies → angled 148 copies (+24 copies, +19% copies) on the same 1 m × 1 m panel.
Observed on a Spec 112 nest job (10/09/26), not a re-run of today’s Super Compact in the app.
Results vary by artwork shapes, quantities, and dimensions. This is copies on that panel, not 19% less film.
On an older laptop or a huge job, start with Grid. Super Compact can take longer to calculate.
Gap is empty space between copies for weeding or the cutter. It is not a margin around the roll, and it is not automatic film magic.
